Moana is the Māori word for the sea, and this one's personal — half of this business is Kiwi. Paua comes out of that same water, and the colour in it isn't pigment at all. It's structure: layers so fine they bend the light and throw it back as blues and greens that shift depending on where you're standing. No two shells alike, which means no two rings either.
